Kittycatkiller is my attempt to keep fashion sustainable and teach people how to make cool pieces out of clothes that already exist in their wardrobe.

I learned how to sew early on in school and it changed the way I wore clothes completely. Meanwhile, it’s super self evident for me to repair or reuse instead of throw away, giving me a deeper insight on sustainability and making me feel like I’m making a change, even though it might be a tiny one. My sewing videos resonated really well with so many cool people, so I decided to up the scale and offer my thriftflips to people who want to upcycle their unworn clothes but don’t have access to either tools or the vision. 

To sum up the most important statistics that gave me a different perspective on clothing consumption: estimated 150 Billion Clothes are made each year, from which 15-45 Billion aren’t even sold and 100 Billion are discarded every year (including the 15-45B unsold clothing). At the end of each year 92 million tonnes of textile waste is produced globally. So I just feel like we might have enough clothes already, could just be me though.
